Well for starters, this just cracked me up this morning…. I’m just having my first cup of coffee. I keep trying to peel my eyes open but they aren’t STAYING open and I seem to be out of duct tape. ROFL!!!
Yesterday was eventful, Mother Nature wise. In the morning we had WILD thunder boomers and sheets of rain. It rained so much in one hour that the ditches overflowed and flooded the road, the backyard flooded and the laundry room flooded too…again. Our neighbor came out and took a look at our backyard because it was 6″under water and that is where our septic bed is and if it’s under water…that’s NOT good. It finally drained but it sure gave me a scare. The ground is so saturated with water. It can’t take these huge deluges. Steve came home last night and stated that he needs to get the roof of the pergola on to stop the flooding into the house…REALLY? Ya don’t SAY?!!!!!! lol ( I know I’m a sarcastic cow sometimes.. ROFL!!)
We borrowed this contraption last weekend to catch stray fleas…I was leery about it but it really works, so last night Steve shouted “find one!!!”. I found one at Amazon but they wouldnt ship to Canada and El Cheapo didn’t want to part with the extra money to have the girls ship it to me. “We’ll find it in Canada” he announces. ….We? …he means me. He was watching TV last night and the odd one was landing on him. According to him, he’s “covered” in them. He started shoutin’ and roaring and making me stinking mad…LOL….it’s really hard to bite back nasty words sometimes…(I just went out yesterday and bought more spray for spot killing but there is this little thing called keeping your environment CLEAN first. ugh… Men , especially this particular one, are making me nuts.) So today I am supposed to find another fogger, the flea trap we borrowed and re-fill discs, clean the house, pick up his prescription, do laundry and finish sucking up the water in the laundry room. I amusing his good Shop Vac….just because I’m mad. LOL. Last night he announces that he’s invited people over for a pool party tomorrow. Huh? I wont be here. I have to take Julie over to her grandfather’s for the weekend. Yer on your own buddy. I wash my hands of you… ROFL!! Stupid males….ugh.
10 more days until Nikki arrives!!!! 14 more days until my BFF Connie gets here!!!! I am so looking forward to both of them coming!!!! Steve will just hide so we won’t have to listen to him ranting and raving about stupid things…..LOL
I asked the Dancing Girls to send me a layout they loved that had their picture in it. Tall order I know …I hate having my picture taken and I’m not very photogenic either so it just makes the experience worse..ROFL!! Anyways I made a layout of myself and they sent me one of themselves too to go with a little write up on each of us…. Well I’m off to suck up some water and do some laundry….I’ll have a freebie tomorrow for ya.

I really hadn’t planned on blogging. Didn’t think I had anything to say. Yesterday our charming daughter was driving us right round the bend so we let her have a friend over so they could entertain themselves. Nice kid. They spent all day in the pool. It poured rain the better part of the afternoon and they were still in the pool going down the slide, having a BLAST!!! I got NO work done yesterday….either designing or schoolwork because I was supervising kids in the pool. Today I’m going to do laundry today and all the stuff I wanted to do yesterday….I hope. My BFF Connie called yesterday and we sorted out some issues with her travelling plans for August. She’s not flying in anymore…she’s taking the train into Brantford :P…it’s all good now…LOL

I just found out today was Sunday…I thought it was Saturday…… so if today is Monday I guess it really is Sunday then…right? What the hell are ya doing at work Diane?! ROFL!!!! Bwahahaha!!!!
How was your weekend? Besides being thoroughly confused this weekend, mine basically sucked. Why? Saturday (yes the REAL Saturday , the power went out a little after 3pm. All our neighbors got theirs back 2 seconds later…except us and one other up the hill. Steve was on night shift and Julie was at a sleepover so I just read a whole pile of smutty novels until it got dark, ate unbaked garlic bread for supper *ick* and generally paced the house. By 11pm the Hydro trucks came and got our neighbor up and running and then went on their merry way. Helllooooooooo!!!!! I woke up at 6am to find there was STILL no power and got back on the phone with Hydro and let them have it. I was FREAKING!!!! ” There is no reason to use that language Mrs. P..”…..apparently there is!!!!! Why is it that everyone has power but me and last night you had my outtage complaint and did nothing? and I wasn’t even swearing at you then? At 7:30 the Hydro truck rolled up in front of the house and by 8am they had me up and running so I could get the coffee machine going, get the sump pump going, flush the toilets etc. and put my happy face on…every time the power flickers, we are down for at least 5 hours…ugh. Anyway having no power for 17 hours really threw me off. Yesterday I just vegged. It was so hot and sticky both outside and inside…it was best not to move. I don’t mind it being hot…it’s the humidity I can’t take. Enough whining….LOL
Hubby finally got the deck floors done. Now he’s working on the stairs for both levels and then I’ll slave drive him to get the pergola done…I know it’s never ending…he now says that if he doesn’t get it done by the party he’ll get it done after when he’s on holidays for 3 weeks…ACK!!!!!!LOL…now if Mother Nature would just knock it off with her mood swing-y weather…ROFL!!! We have to drain the pool again today…it rained so much it overflowed the pool…AGAIN…for the 3rd time this year. If you get more than 3″ of water in a 16×32′ pool you just KNOW that one hell of a lot of rain coming down in one hour…LOL!!!!

- DaPoobah-right back ‘atcha babes!!!! Diane is without a doubt one of my favorite online people. You know EXACTLY where you stand with her. She calls them as she sees them and she can make me laugh quicker than I can fart..& I can fart pretty fast..LOL
- Amy Sumrall-This lady is one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She co-ordinated a collab called Let’s Connect and asked if I would participate. I felt WAY out of my league with the Sunshine Girls et al but Amy is just so down to earth and friendly that she made me feel welcome. She still swings by regularly to visit and say hi…that means the world to me! I heart Miss Amy!!!!
- Shazbutt - Now Shannon’s blog is one I stalk regularly too. She is down to earth, wickedly funny and feeds my template addiction with wicked designs…Bows to the Shaz-inator!!!!! LOL
- Ladybug Graphix-Now this ladybug I recently met through Cate. She’s the owner of Digital Scrap Garden. She warm and welcoming to newbies and runs one of the most laid-back welcoming place I’ve seen. I’m just getting to know her but I love what I see so far!!!
- Cindyrelly- She is a regular visitor at my blog. I met her through Nikki’s blog..LOL (very friendly that Nikki’s blog..). She makes me laugh all the time and she has the knack of getting songs stuck in my head …AHEM…Seasons In The Sun is still there lady!!! LOL
- Nora-She is a wonderful lady. Why? She regularly visits. Chats up my comments and has a huge heart. She volunteered to pimp the HUGE blog party in October!!!! She RAWKETH!!!!!
- The Chicken Coop-Now this is an amazing blog. I found it through Amy and now subscribe to the feed. She posts amazing sales and killer freebies and every now and again posts a rawkin’ template freebie!! All I can say is wow!!!!

Remember when I said yesterday I had an appointment with my new dentist? We transferred to a dentist here in town rather than the one we were seeing in Hamilton, a 45 minute drive. Julie went last week, Steve already went and yesterday was my turn. I think I might enjoy the new dentist….he’s SMOKIN’ HOT!!!!!!!! Young (that means 35-ish), Blond, blue-eyed, 6′6″ and built like a football player…..pardon me while I drool a little… ROFL!!!! I love it when I see man candy….. Diane’s wish from the genie came true!!! bwahaha
Well me and Nikki had a day yesterday. Mine was relaxing …hers wasn’t. One of her kids is now called Houdini…lol…and with good reason. All is fixed now so today I’m hoping (keeping my fingers crossed too) that I can get some work done . My daughter is lousy at giving me peace and quiet and entertaining herself…she was grounded from the TV and computers for the last 2 days but the grounding has lifted….
It’s going up to 40*C today with the humidity. It’s 8:30 and the central air is already on…good day for the pool.

If you didn’t notice yesterday , my shoppe was down all afternoon. It was still down when I went to bed. The Dancin’ Girls like to tease me whenever I can’t get into my site, for whatever stupid reason. They often tell me that “I broke it”. Well this time it wasn’t me who brokeit!!! It’s the “How” and “Who” of the site breaking that cracked me right up. The how was and I quote “An empty-headed ninny moment” ROFL!!!!! I almost fell out of my chair laughing!!!! The “Who” was even better!!!! Wanna know who broke my website?! Nikki!!!!!Poor Nikki. Last night Josh and I were teasing her something terrible!!! She’s really going to need a drink when she gets here!!!:P

Well that’s it for me. This post is nowhere near as funny as the missing one…I have a busy day today. I have an appt. with my new dentist (ick) and then I’m going shopping for a birthday gift and stock up on marguerita and pina colada mix for Nikki and Connie…what a party THAT will be!!!!
My brain is foggy this morning. I haven’t had my first cup of Tim Horton’s yet and all this sleeping in is making me lazy. LOL Don’t get me wrong. Sleeping in every now and again is a real treat but lately Julie and I are sleeping in every day. I get up at 7:30 and she’ll get up up 8:30. I miss the days when I get up at 6 am…when the whole house still sleeps, except the cats begging for breakfast….when I can check my email without someone reading over my shoulder…when I can have my first travel mug of coffee in peace and quiet….
What did I do yesterday? Nothing that I had planned. I HAD planned on starting to spring clean the kitchen…ya know…ceiling, walls…that kind of crap. However Julie had a friend over and I got distracted, so I blog hopped and lounged in the pool most of the day. Then last night I had good intentions of getting a kit finished but I got into Canadian Idol instead and was bummed out when Hamilton fella Adam Castelli (he’s the cousin of one of the guys in the band we hired for our party in August 
) got knocked out of the top 10. I know… me and reality TV…what is the world coming to? Andrea will be so proud..LOL!! After we watched the lamest movie called Fire Serpent with the cheesiest special effects and crappy acting…the hunk factor was Randolph Mantooth (’member him from Emergency?) Yeah well, now he’s 60ish…I tell ya..Steve can sure find the WEIRD-est stuff to watch on TV…but this is sure one of the weirdest. He’s going out tonight so I’ll get my fix of So You Think You Can Dance. What am I addicted to that? ‘Cuz I am unco-ordinated and a girl can dream, can’t she?! ROFL!!
So today…I blogged about nothing..I wasn’t even on the ball enough to get a freebie together…LMAO…I’ll have one for Friday though I promise…on your travels today, swing by Cate’s blog and give her a hug…she could really use one. (link in my sidebar…Wordpress is being a dick today)

After another busy weekend, it’s Monday again and back to the grind…
Saturday we went to a get together at Steve’s best friend Sheila’s. (I call her the “other wife”.) Her daughter was turning two so we had a party for her. It was hilarious! We were there most of the day and Julie was exhausted. She fell asleep in the car and we just popped her into bed in her party dress. It wasn’t worth the fight to get her into her jammies.
Yesterday we sprayed and sprayed again the mulch with a pesticide. (I’m terrified now of putting my cat out fo a pee in case he tastes something in the garden and dies. He is NOT happy at being indoors.) We have the flea issue about 95% under control…there are still a few random jumpers in the house so we spot spray them as we find them…the animals are clean (although Whiskers skin got burned thanks to Advantage and now has a bald spot in between his shoulder blades…poor bugger.)
Steve is back to work today and tomorrow so he won’t be able to get any work on the deck done until Wednesday. He figures he’ll be able to get the second deck done by the weekend and then get cracking on the pergola…he only worked on for a short time last week ‘cuz he knew he was in the doghouse… lol
As for me today? I’m finishing up the last of the laundry ( I no longer find it relaxing…lol…I think I’ve done 17 loads in 4 days…no kidding) and then I have Lesson 2 to do on my course and hand in. I haven’t opened Photoshop in a few days. I have my papers done for the Fall Splendor collab but have been sidetracked since.
OK I’m off but not before I leave you with a giggle….
